AIO

The AIO (All-In-One) flight controller is the heart of an FPV drone in a single, compact board. It combines several key components — including flight control, motor power supply, and video transmission from the camera. This makes drone building simpler, faster, and soldering-free. It’s the perfect choice for beginners building small drones, such as whoops or 1S microdrones.

What is an AIO 5-in-1, 4-in-1, or 3-in-1, and what do these terms mean?

Labels like 5-in-1, 4-in-1, or 3-in-1 in the context of an AIO (All-In-One) flight controller refer to the number of functions integrated into a single board. The higher the number, the more drone components are combined into one module.

For example, an AIO 5-in-1 may include: a flight controller (FC), ESC (electronic speed controller), VTX (video transmitter), BEC (power supply module), RC receiver, and often also an OSD (On-Screen Display) — a system that shows telemetry data directly on your FPV goggles screen.

In a 4-in-1 version, the receiver might be left out, while a 3-in-1 AIO usually includes only the FC, ESC, and RC receiver.

Thanks to this kind of integration, building a drone becomes simpler, faster, and more compact — which is especially important for small builds where every gram and millimeter counts.
