AIO

The AIO (All-In-One) flight controller is the heart of an FPV drone in a single, compact board. It combines several key components — including flight control, motor power supply, and video transmission from the camera. This makes drone building simpler, faster, and soldering-free. It’s the perfect choice for beginners building small drones, such as whoops or 1S microdrones.

Confused by 5-in-1, 4-in-1, and 3-in-1 AIO Labels? Here's What They Mean.

When you see labels such as 5-in-1, 4-in-1, or 3-in-1 on an AIO (All-in-One) flight controller, they indicate how many essential drone components are integrated into a single board. The higher the number, the more functions are combined into one compact solution.

A 5-in-1 AIO typically integrates:
  • Flight Controller (FC)
  • Electronic Speed Controller (ESC)
  • Video Transmitter (VTX)
  • BEC (Battery Eliminator Circuit / Power Regulator)
  • RC Receiver
Many 5-in-1 boards also include a built-in OSD (On-Screen Display), allowing telemetry data such as battery voltage, flight time, and signal strength to be displayed directly in your FPV goggles.

A 4-in-1 AIO usually includes the FC, ESC, VTX, and BEC, while the RC receiver is omitted. A 3-in-1 AIO generally combines the Flight Controller, ESC, and RC receiver into a single board.

By integrating multiple components into one unit, AIO flight controllers reduce wiring, simplify installation, save weight, and free up valuable space inside the frame. This makes them an ideal choice for micro drones, whoops, and other compact FPV builds where every gram and millimeter matters.
