BetaFPV Meteor65 Pro II O4 Brushless Whoop Quadcopter PNP ELRS 2.4G — A Strong Whoop for Your Digital FPV

The BetaFPV Meteor65 Pro II O4 Brushless Whoop Quadcopter PNP ELRS 2.4G is the PNP version of the Meteor65 Pro II O4: a 1S brushless whoop with an onboard ELRS 2.4G receiver, sold without an HD video unit and camera so that you fit your own. It is purpose-built for the DJI O4 Wide Air Unit, and the included Canopy II also fits the DJI O4 Air Unit. The Meteor65 Pro II frame has a 70mm wheelbase and a 16.1mm wide battery slot for the LAVA II 1S 480mAh battery, the 0802 Freestyle (2026) 22000KV motors drive GF 1409 3-blade props, and the Matrix 1S 3IN1 HD board combines the flight controller, a 12A ESC and the ELRS receiver. Without an HD unit it weighs about 18.3g according to distributor data; with a DJI O4 Wide the manufacturer gives 36.20g and up to 4:05 of flight on a LAVA II 1S 480mAh battery. To fly it you need a DJI O4 Wide or O4 Air Unit, DJI goggles that work with it, an ExpressLRS 2.4GHz radio and a battery, none of which are included. BetaFPV designed it for indoor cinematic flying, freestyle, micro aerial photography, education and youth competitions.

BetaFPV Meteor65 Pro II O4 Brushless Whoop Quadcopter PNP ELRS 2.4G Key Features

Ready for Digital HD

It is built for the DJI O4 Wide Air Unit, and the included Canopy II also fits the DJI O4. You add the HD unit and get a digital whoop set up the way you want.

Wider Frame

The wheelbase grows from 66mm to 70mm, with fewer arm braces and an optimised duct design. That gives more stability and better flight efficiency.

Bigger Battery

The 16.1mm battery slot takes the LAVA II 1S 480mAh battery. With a DJI O4 Wide the manufacturer gives about 4 minutes of flight, much longer than the predecessor.

More Power

0802 Freestyle (2026) 22000KV motors with a 0.10mm stator core and GF 1409 3-blade props. Strong low-throttle torque gives smooth, precise control.

Vibration Damping

Canopy II sits on four shock-absorbing balls and lets you set the camera angle from 15° to 35°. Less shake and jello means smoother HD footage.

Three Boards in One

The Matrix 1S 3IN1 HD combines the flight controller, a 12A ESC and the ELRS 2.4G receiver in one light unit. Fewer separate parts make the build simpler.

A Wider Frame with a Bigger Battery Slot

The battery slot is now 16.1mm wide instead of 11.6mm and takes the larger LAVA II 1S 480mAh battery. To make room for it the wheelbase grew from 66mm to 70mm, which gives a more stable and responsive base for precise control. With a DJI O4 Wide unit the manufacturer gives about 4 minutes of flight, compared with 2:40 for the previous Meteor65 Pro O4.

More Power for Longer Flights

The 0802 Freestyle Motors (2026) with a 0.10mm stator core give strong low-throttle torque and smooth control, and with the GF 1409 3-blade props they deliver fluid, cinematic flying. Together with the wider frame and the larger battery they keep the drone steady while cruising. The flight time shown on the graphic, 4:05 on a LAVA II 1S 480mAh battery, was measured by the manufacturer with a DJI O4 Wide Air Unit fitted.

Matrix 1S 3IN1 HD Flight Controller

The Matrix 1S 3IN1 HD is built for 1S HD whoops and digital FPV only, so it has no analog OSD. It combines the flight controller, a 12A continuous (18A peak) ESC and the ELRS 2.4G receiver on one board, with an STM32G473CEU6 MCU, a new 5V 3A BEC, a separate LDO for the gyro and an SH1.0-6Pin connector for the HD unit. The new BEC and ESC are designed to keep the digital video link stable even in demanding conditions.

Canopy II for the DJI O4 and O4 Wide

The included Canopy II fits both the DJI O4 and the O4 Wide Air Unit. It connects to the Meteor65 Pro II frame with four shock-absorbing balls, which reduce shake and jello and make installing and removing it easier. Four screws hold the HD unit, and the flexible mounting holes let you set the camera angle anywhere from 15° to 35°.

Frequently asked questions - BetaFPV Meteor65 Pro II O4 Brushless Whoop Quadcopter PNP ELRS 2.4G

A radio with ExpressLRS 2.4GHz, for example the LiteRadio 4, LiteRadio 3 or LiteRadio 2 SE recommended by the manufacturer. The radio and the drone's receiver must run the same major ELRS version. This is the ELRS 2.4G version; BetaFPV also makes a separate SBUS version of the PNP drone, in which the DJI O4 Air Unit acts as the receiver.

With a DJI O4 Wide Air Unit and a LAVA II 1S 480mAh battery the manufacturer gives 4:05 (measured from 4.35V to 3.3V), about 4 minutes. The manufacturer gives no figure for other configurations.

BetaFPV publishes the flight controller firmware and the CLI dump file for this drone, in ELRS and SBUS versions, on its website and support site. The drone runs Betaflight, so the CLI file lets you restore the factory settings.

Safety Notice
  • This is an FPV quadcopter, a multirotor model aircraft. It is not a toy and is not suitable for children under 14.
  • Flying an FPV drone requires basic knowledge and practice. Get to know all its functions before the first flight, because the motors are powerful and the propellers are sharp.
  • Never touch spinning propellers. In an emergency, disarm the motors with your radio straight away.
  • Fly in an open, safe place, away from people, water and power lines. The drone is not waterproof, so do not fly in rain, snow, strong wind or fog.
  • When flying with goggles, have a spotter next to you, and follow the local regulations for flying drones.
