Learn to Fly FPV with the BetaFPV Meteor65 Pro II Brushless Whoop Quadcopter

The BetaFPV Meteor65 Pro II Brushless Whoop Quadcopter is an analog FPV whoop with guarded propellers, well suited to pilots taking their first steps in FPV. It weighs 22.60g, has a 70mm wheelbase and flies for up to 5:50 on a LAVA II 1S 480mAh battery. It is powered by Racing 0802 (2026) motors with GF 1409 3-blade props, and the Matrix 1S 5IN1 II board combines the flight controller, a 12A ESC, an ELRS 2.4G receiver, a 25-400mW analog video transmitter and OSD. The Air Camera gives a 16:9 image with a 173° field of view. To fly it you need analog 5.8GHz FPV goggles and an ExpressLRS 2.4GHz radio. The drone is not overly aggressive, and together with the factory-set Angle and Horizon self-levelling modes this makes learning to fly easier.

BetaFPV Meteor65 Pro II Brushless Whoop Quadcopter Key Features

Good for Beginners

Factory-set Angle and Horizon modes level the drone for you, and its character is not overly aggressive. You can focus on learning the controls instead of fighting the drone.

Tough Build

The strengthened frame and the flight controller's 3-point mounting on a 1.0mm thick board are built to take crashes. That matters most while you are learning and bumps are part of every session.

Longer Flights

It flies for up to 5:50 on a LAVA II 1S 480mAh battery, 29% longer than the Meteor65 Pro according to the manufacturer. More practice on every battery and fewer breaks for charging.

More Thrust

Racing 0802 motors with GF 1409 props give a 5.17:1 thrust-to-weight ratio, 44% more thrust than the previous combination. Strong low-throttle torque helps with precise flying indoors.

Wide View

The Air Camera has a 173° field of view in 16:9, 33% more horizontal view than a standard 4:3 image. You see more around you and can react faster.

No Setup Needed

Channel mapping, switch functions, motor direction and OSD are already set in Betaflight at the factory. Bind your radio and goggles and you are ready to fly.

More Thrust, Smoother Control

The Racing 0802 Motors (2026) with a 0.10mm stator core work efficiently with the lightweight GF 1409 3-blade props. Together they reach a 5.17:1 thrust-to-weight ratio and deliver 44% more thrust than the previous propulsion combination. Strong torque at low throttle gives smooth, fluid control and precise manoeuvring, both indoors and outdoors.

A New Frame with a Bigger Battery Slot

The new Meteor65 Pro II frame has a 70mm wheelbase, up from 66mm, which gives more stability in flight. The battery slot is now 16.1mm wide and fits the larger LAVA II 1S 480mAh battery, extending flight time to 5:50. The strengthened frame is as durable as the Meteor75 Pro II frame, so it is ready for daily training, micro aerial filming, education and competitions.

A Powerful, Crash-Resistant Flight Controller

The Matrix 1S 5IN1 II combines the flight controller, ESC, video transmitter, receiver and OSD on one board. Its 12A continuous (18A peak) ESC easily meets the needs of the Racing 0802 motors. The 3-point mounting leaves room to cushion impacts, and the 1.0mm thick board with an optimised layout makes it even more resistant to crashes.

A Wider View from the Air Camera

The Air Camera shows a 16:9 image with a 173° field of view, 33% more horizontal view than a standard 4:3 camera, so you see more around every corner and react faster. A new CMOS sensor keeps colours stable and runs cooler, and the glass lens gives a sharper image and resists scratches better than plastic.

Frequently asked questions - BetaFPV Meteor65 Pro II Brushless Whoop Quadcopter

Yes. The propellers are guarded, the frame is built to take crashes, and the Angle and Horizon self-levelling modes are already set at the factory. The drone is not overly aggressive, and the manufacturer recommends it for daily training and education. If it lands upside down, Flip Over After Crash mode (switch AUX3) lets you turn it back over with the motors.

Analog 5.8GHz FPV goggles, an ExpressLRS 2.4GHz radio and a LAVA II 1S battery with a charger. The battery is not included in the package.

A radio with ExpressLRS 2.4GHz, for example the LiteRadio 4, LiteRadio 3 or LiteRadio 2 SE recommended by the manufacturer. The radio and the drone's receiver must run the same major ELRS version, and the protocol set on the radio must match the drone.

Any FPV goggles or monitor with an analog 5.8GHz receiver. The drone has an analog video transmitter, so it does not work with digital systems.

The manufacturer recommends LAVA II 1S 480mAh or 580mAh batteries with a BT2.0 connector. The LAVA II 1S 680mAh battery is not recommended, because its length may cause fitting problems.

No. Channel mapping, switch functions, motor direction and OSD are already set in Betaflight at the factory. You only need to bind your radio and set your goggles to the drone's video channel.

Safety Notice
  • This is an FPV quadcopter, a multirotor model aircraft. It is not a toy and is not suitable for children under 14.
  • Flying an FPV drone requires basic knowledge and practice. Get to know all its functions before the first flight, because the motors are powerful and the propellers are sharp.
  • Never touch spinning propellers. In an emergency, disarm the motors with your radio straight away.
  • Fly in an open, safe place, away from people, water and power lines. The drone is not waterproof, so do not fly in rain, snow, strong wind or fog.
  • When flying with goggles, have a spotter next to you, and follow the local regulations for flying drones.

Getting the BetaFPV Meteor65 Pro II Brushless Whoop Quadcopter Ready to Fly

Battery

Slide the battery into the slot on the bottom of the drone and connect it to the power connector.

Binding the Radio (ELRS)
  1. Power the drone on and off 3 times quickly; the receiver LED flashes green twice repeatedly, meaning binding mode is on.
  2. Put your radio into binding mode (see your radio's manual).
  3. A solid green LED means the binding was successful. If it does not bind within 8 seconds, repeat the steps.
  4. After binding, the drone and the radio connect automatically every time they are switched on.
Video

Power the drone on and switch on your goggles or monitor. Search for the channel or set the drone's channel manually; when the drone's camera image appears, the video link is ready.

  • ANGLE: AUX2 low position
  • HORIZON: AUX2 middle position
